Dion-NeviTREK Snowshoe Information

Handcrafted in Vermont, Dion-NeviTREK snowshoes lead the industry in lightweight, high-performance winter gear. Constructed with 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum frames, freeze-resistant binding systems, and anti-balling Teflon and stainless cleats, these snowshoes eliminate excess drag and weight without sacrificing bite. Use the guide below to find the right combination of frame flotation, binding security, and cleat traction for your next trek.
Frames
Dion model frames use a tear-drop design, while the NaviTREK frames are oval-shaped. Tear-drop design tend to be slightly lighter, while oval-shaped designs provide better floatation.
Dion 120 & 121

Designed for racing, the Dion 120 and 121 frames are Dion-NaviTREK's smallest and lightest frames. The 120 has thinner decking and a narrower hinge, making it the lightest of the two. The more rugged 121 has thicker decking, and is designed to handle various trail conditions and packed trails. While the 120 & 121 are intended for racing they work great for recreational snowshoeing and snow-trail walking.
Frame Size: 7.2" x 20.7"
Dion 132

The Dion 132 is Dion-NaviTREK's mid-size frame, intended for general recreation use. The 132 has a slightly larger footprint over the 120 & 121, providing better floatation. The 132 is a great all around snowshoe that performs well in all kinds of conditions while still remaining lightweight.
Frame Size: 7.8" x 21.5"
Dion 164

The Dion 164 is Dion-NaviTREK's largest frame, built for back-country snow travel and deep snow. The 164 is great for both heavy-duty and recreational use.
Frame Size: 8.0" x 24.7"
NeviTrek Tracker & Adirondacks
NaviTREK model frames use an oval-shaped design, offering a larger surface area for deeper snow and rugged hikes. The NeviTREK Adirondacks are made with a heavier decking material than the Trackers, but otherwise the construction is the same.
Tracker Frame Sizes: 8"x25", 8"x30"
Adirondacks Frame Sizes: 8"x25", 8"x30", 8"x36"
To choose your snowshoe size (particularly for heavy loads), consider the conditions in which you'll be snowshoeing and the load you'll be carrying, which includes body weight plus gear. The optimal load is for the frame only. If you plan to snowshoe on packed trails or where the snow is usually the heavy, wet snow as opposed to powder, you may want to go with a snowshoe one size smaller than what the weight guidelines recommend.
